Not far from our Hotel Andreas Hofer you enjoy a hot cup of coffee on 3,440 m above sea level on the Pitztal Glacier or learn more about the fascinating arolla pine - the "Queen of the Alps“.
In the highest café in Austria you enjoy a breathtaking view to the highest mountain of Tyrol, the Zugspitze, and to the surrounding mountains of the Pitztal with mountains up to 3000 m high.
Nature Park Kaunergrat
The Nature Park Kaunergrat stretches from the Oberes Inntal up to the Ötztal Alps and is home to rare and worth-seeing flora and fauna.
Starting point Naturparkhaus
The mountain „Gache Blick“ represents the perfect location for the Naturparkhaus Kaunergrat as the three valleys Kaunertal, Pitztal and Inntal meet here. The multimedia exhibition shows the diversity of the indigenous nature and amazes families.
Advent in the mountains
In December Plangeroß turns into a brilliant and romantic village. Every day another window is opened at one of the houses in the snow-covered village on 1,600 m. The perfect spot to enjoy a good time for both guests and local people.
The Stamserhaus in Wenns, whose foundation walls have already been standing for ca. 700 years, shows a very special highlight of Tyrolean history and tradition.
It hosts the local crib association showing visitors the peculiarities of this traditional handicraft.
Arolla pine exhibition
For centuries the arolla pine has been shaping the landscape of the Pitztal, especially of Jerzens. The exhibition „Arolla pine - multi-talented border crosser" shows the fascinating world of the "Queen of the Alps" and its characteristics. From sprouting to falling, from youth to old age!

The precious water (40°C) in Längenfeld in the Ötztal stems from a depth of 1,865 m.
