The Hochzeiger is deserved of its reputation as a Pitztal hiking paradise: awaiting you are over 100km of marked hiking route, provisions for family-friendly hiking, Pitztal hospitality, Nordic walking routes and much more…  The Hochzeiger hiking area has been awarded the Tyrolean mountain routes seal of quality.  Discover the most beautiful paths through the mountains and animal kingdom on the Hochzeiger!

With the Hochzeiger cable cars, you can easily reach the Pitztal hiking area: the gondola takes you from the base station (1,450m) up to the Zeigerrestaurant at the mid-station (2,000m), and, depending on the weather and what you would like to do, you can continue up to the Sechszeiger mountain station at 2,370m with the Sechszeiger chair lift.  From there, you can enjoy a unique mountain panorama (the Zugspitze etc) and set off on your hikes through the surrounding area!

There is a free hiking bus and free hiking programme for Pitztal guests with the Pitztal Freizeitpass (leisure pass)!
