Nordic walking in the Pitztal
Nordic walking had enjoyed great popularity over the past few years. This gentle sport can be learned very quickly and is ideal for helping to loose weight and building up your fitness level.
The Pitztal Nordic walking region offers over 140 km of marked pathway in the middle of untouched nature. Free introductory courses are offered by a Nordic walking trainer through the tourism associations weekly programme (June to October). You can register at
Alpin Center Pitztal.
Enjoy the tracks which range in height from 880m and 2,100m above sea level and in length, from 1.3km to 11.1km. The free hiking bus is also available to Nordic walkers which will comfortably take you to all of the 24 Nordic walking paths in the Pitztal.
In addition, go on a Nordic walking course with the Pitztal Nordic sports academy! There, Andrea Schultes, a trained and certified Nordic walking master coach, offers great introductory and technical courses for Nordic walkers.
