The frontal Pitztal
The Arzl, Wenns and Jerzens townships make up the frontal Pitztal region, Jerzens is considered the main tourism centre.
The frontal Pitztal is uniquely diverse. In summer as well as winter, you can go on excursions to discover the close-by cities of Imst, Landeck or Innsbruck.
Not only does Jerzens have a wonderful panorama, it also boasts events such as the traditional cattle drive in summer and the sensational Jerzner ski opening in winter, the Fire and Ice event, and much more, at the Hochzeiger skiing and hiking mountain..
The rear Pitztal
The township of St. Leonhard with an area of 223.4 km ² lies at the back of the Pitztal, scattered throughout the narrow valley in hamlets and villages, along a length of about 25 km.

Pitztal Glacier and lake Rifflsee
The Pitztaler Glacier at an altitude of 3440 m above sea level is the highest glacier in Tyrol, easily and comfortably reachable with the panoramic lift (the highest cable car in Austria). Either on foot or on skis, you can conquer the highest mountain peak in Tyrol at 3774 m above sea level.
